TRI LOBE BLOWERS
Tri lobe roots blowers are positive displacement pumps that use two tri-lobe impellers mounted on parallel shafts to rotate in opposite directions within a casing. As the impellers rotate, air is drawn into one side of the casing and forced out of the opposite side against the existing pressures. The differential pressure developed, therefore, depends upon the resistance of the connected system.
KEY FEATURES:
Higher pressure: Tri-lobe roots blowers can generate higher pressures than two-lobe roots blowers. This makes them suitable for applications where high pressure is required, such as air compressors and vacuum pumps.
Longer bearing life: The tri-lobe design of roots blowers provides a stiffer rotor set, which means less deflection at any load. This results in longer bearing life and reduced maintenance requirements.
Reduced noise: Tri-lobe roots blowers produce less noise than two-lobe roots blowers. This is because the tri-lobe design creates a smoother airflow, which reduces vibration and noise.
Reduced pulsation: Tri-lobe roots blowers also produce less pulsation than two-lobe roots blowers. This is because the tri-lobe design creates a more uniform airflow, which reduces pressure fluctuations.
